3 Favourite courses I took at university
- CIS*4000 (Technical presentations) – I just love giving presentations. There’s just something awesome about taking a few papers worth of information (many hours of reading) and boiling it down to an informative and concise 15 minute presentation.
- MUSC*2150 (Music and Pop Culture) – I wish I’d been able to take this course with Jesse as well but I learnt (and probably also forgot) so much about many classic types of music that I’d never really bothered listening to. (though I still hate The Beatles…)
- ENGL*2740 (Children’s Literature) – made me buy a sweet book of nursery rhymes, with the original and messed up original rhymes. (ie: “Eeny meeny miney mo, catch a nigger by the toe,” wtf??!)
3 secrets you may not know or like about my beliefs
- I’m an anti-theist (I’m against the concept of religion in pretty much all forms)
- I’m an egalitarian (I think women’s rights are just as important as men’s rights. Hint: Chivalry is dead and that goes both ways)
- I think prostitution and marijuana should both be legalized.
My 3 favourite places to have a good, in-depth and possibly “edgy/offensive” conversation in Guelph.

3 best breakfast places in Guelph (That I’ve been…)

MARLOW! I stumbled upon your site tonight for the first time – FUN WOW! Here is my contribution to the lists, it is somewhat lengthy because I’m super bored tonight.
3 things I learned in my undergrad years:
-just because someone can’t see your face and tell you they love you, doesn’t mean they are wavering in their love for you
-stress can cause you a great deal of physical illness and pain
-it is possible to build meaningful relationships with people even when you are a grouchy, melancholy mess of misplaced and delayed teen angst with limited desire to accept someone new into your life, especially if you are always honest and upfront
3 things I am learning as a grad student:
-honest and upfront are not synonymous with clear and straightforward
-a lack of healthy, motivating stress can make you a drunken slacker who won’t ever be able to prove themselves a leader
-it can be difficult to build a meaningful relationship with someone even when they seem to like and respect you
My 3 least favourite places to have an edgy/offensive conversation:
-the solarium at the 9hole
-the Weeds Lab where I work on campus
-um… the solarium at the 9hole
3 favourite things to do while drunk:
-listen to my friends play guitar/ukelele/drums/whatevs
-HUG and KISS! And SMILE SMILE SMILE
-chat and laugh with my granddad about the things we like, and try/fail to keep up with him in drinking
3 favourite things to do while stoned:
-swim naked
-listen to The Who-Won’t be Fooled Again
-read Kerouac’s journals and pretend he has penned the words of my own soul
3 things I suck at that I wish I could improve:
-being creative
-knowing how my words and actions are going to affect people
-exhibiting grace in any capacity, not in words or movement or any other way imaginable
3 favourite songs today:
-Jeff Buckley-Lover, You Should Have Come Over
-Beach Boys- Good Vibrations
-Beirut- Mount Wroclai (Idle Days)
3 interesting/strange things about me you may not know:
-I hate putting things in my right hand pockets, of jackets or pants or anything, and I deal with this pocket dilemma every day
-I love pretty much everyone I have ever spent time with, and it causes me tons of stress
-I often have nightmares about entire cities of people running and running, and trying unsuccessfully to hide from power-hungry, violent humans or humanoids…eeeeeek
PEACE!
Weird. The time stamp on my post is WAY off..it is 3:28 am.
